Not the kind of solution I was hoping for. Of course I do, but it's a hassle.

Well, you didn't say if you are using the website or one of the apps (and which one.)
I think your settings choices are stored in cookies. Perhaps deleting the cookie so that it can be reset will help.
You can search the forum to see if anyone else is having the problem. I haven't seen anything.

Well you did not ask. But if I disable it in my account I expect it to be disabled anywhere. Bit weak to make it my problem.
Title says it all. This is a problem since the newest cosmetic upgrade.
