I have this same problem. I was able to play online before getting an account but afterward it wouldn't load just like you said. I also tried getting there in different ways and tried logging out but it wouldn't let me. I have a moderately fast computer and a decent internet.

I am having the same issue. I completed a match and went to the analysis board. After, I closed the tab and tried do new+ and the central tab did not load anything in. Play -> Online or trying to access game analysis accomplished the same thing.
Same problem in Chrome/Firefox/Edge on multiple devices but oddly enough the IOS app still works on my phone.

The hamburger button does not work. Can't play live or online. Move/Play icon button doesn't load online game. Samsung A21
i duplicated this question.
It doesn't work with bots either. It sort of starts the game, but it doesn't render the board properly.
I can play bots but not live games. Some of the other buttons aren't working properly either: can't log out, for example.
Same thing on the buttons not working. Ironically, the report a bug button doesn't work.

It's actually a tactic for the tech team. You don't have to fix a bug if no one can report it.
So I found out how to play live chess too, go to URL: chess.com/live and it will work. I think what is happening when you click the play button is taking us to chess.com/play/online which is the beta and clearly not working
I have the same problem also, I can't hover over any buttons. I can't check notifications.

So we can all agree we're having the same issue? I thought it was just my end. I thought it had something to do with my last rapid game which I somehow had a 99.3 accuracy on... I thought my opponent had accused me of cheating and that's why it was doing that, but I'm glad to see that's not the case.

When I click play online and then online with other people nothing ever loads. I can play bots and all other functions fine. I was able to play people yesterday just fine. No adblockers or anything like that running on my browser and I have a stable internet connection.
