change user name

May i know how i can change my username?

Go to settings and find your profile. Click change name. Type in your new username. Remember that you can only change your username once.

Is there a way to request to change the username to be reverted to the first one?

I can't do it, it says please complete your live chess game before changing your username even though I don't have any going

Log completely out, log in, then immediately change your username.

it still won't work, I completely shut down google and logged out of chess..com 

That normally would work. If you have another device with an open connection, that could cause it as well.

it’s not that - the connection if fine. There’s definitely a bug somewhere (seems I’m not the only one with the issue) and I wish there was some help

I have but no reply yet. Although looking at the previous messages above, the issue has been known for at least 6 months...

This issue is still unresolved. I also tried clearing cache and changing browser. Nothing works. FAT BUG. "To avoid confusion, you may not change your username while connected to Live Chess or registered for any Live Chess competition. Please try again after you are done playing."
