Go to settings in Live Chess and enable chat
Thanks, but I have tried that -- in settings in Live Chess, following are options it seems I can access, Game Settings, Default Room, Remove (Enable premove), Auto Queen (Always queen on promotion), Sound (enable sounds), Multiple Games (play multiple games at a time), Board Settings: Pieces (classic), Board Colors (wood), Board Size (Default), Coordinates (Show algebraic coordinates).
My chat field continues to show "disabled." Is there a way to activate that. I have been having mouse problems, which I presented in a previous forum topic, and the one and only response was it was probably my mouse because the other individual was not having a problem. Yet, I will not have any problems for a number of games and then I run into the situation where I can repeatedly attempt to advance and drop a piece on a square only to have it returned to its origin. I noticed where someone believes there should be a penalty for someone aborting a game, and I would certainly like to communicate via chat to tell someone that I cannot make a move. Last night was the first time I aborted a game -- all the other times in repeated attempts to seat a piece I took a loss in order to log out and log back in to correct the problem. Also, sometimes in repeated attempts an attempt will finally succeed in placing your piece where you did not intend -- usually an additional square forward providing a capturing opportunity for an opponent. Makes one look like an idiot. I now relate to someone's earlier chat comment, "mouse slip." I wish I could communicate that! Thanks.
