chat function not working, need help please

My game chat doesn't work on normal or rated 1 or 3 day games even though I have the chat setting enabled. this is true for many other players as well. anyone know how to fix this? I convinced a lot of people to use this app but if I can't find a solution they will use another app :(
How do you know it's true for a lot of others if you can't chat?
You may have just been muted.
Because i have double checked with others and i can chat with others, just not with a few people even though their settings are correct
