If you see the 'they must be friends' sign, it means you've clicked on 'voice chat' in your game.
If you want to type back to them, type your message into the lower section of the game chat and press Enter on your keyboard.

How can I activate "chat' so I can respond to other players who send me nice greetings. When ever, I try it always reads: They must be friends. How do I make them friends? I would appreciate any help.
