cheaters.

I just met a cheater, and I sent him the following message.

"Subject: cheater...

no I am not some random noob calling you a cheater just because I was losing. The fact that computers usually take that long to calculate the best move tells me so. Given your high rank, and that you have played many games before, you would know how to play the opening. In fact, I spotted the fork way earlier than you played the move. And I am just a amateur.

I have enough evidence that you were cheating."

I believe he is a cheater.

What should I do now? Qe7 was the fork.

With all respect, I disagree. Your opponent was rated 1400- higher than many on Live I will grant, but certainly not computer level, or even close. 

Also, 2 Nh6 takes the game out of book theory really fast, so the argument that he should know how to play the opening doesn't hold tight.

And last.... in a 30 minute game, people are going to take their time. (Too much time for someone impatient like me, which is why I don't play long.)

(Good work spotting the Knight fork ahead of time, by the way; even if it was too late. It took me a while to find.)

Well, I suggest you message him and appologise for your behaviour?

oops, left out a detail - He disabled the chat immediately after I said "Hi computer".

This certainly wouldn't make sense in such a context, and a innocent person would not act so quick. It means that he is scared he would get caught.

Well, if someone accused me of cheating, i would also turn off the chat.

The forum is not the place to acuse your opponents of cheating. There is a "report abuse" link.

BTW i don't think you are happy to hear this but the moves are not difficult to find for a 30 minute game for both sides. All his moves are normal and don't suggest anything otherwise.
