Checking game requests

I've been waiting a few hours for a match, which is much slower than the first two times I tried. I guess maybe I should use broader criteria next time, but I'm wondering - is there a way to see whether or not I have a current request?

I was waiting for a notification on the app and saw nothing, but I came onto my laptop to see if anything was visible on the site: it was. I saw a game against an opponent with a somewhat pornographic-looking profile picture (it was too small to be sure, and subsequently vanished in any case). I suspect they were intercepted and banned. But does that mean I need to make a new request? I don't want to find myself overwhelmed with too many games instead...
