Checkmate sound effect

How can I enable the checkmate sound effect in this website?

If you have sounds on in your settings, you should get the sounds for the theme you're using.

Hi, did you ever get to figure out how to enable the checkmate sound on the website? I'm having the same issue. It works well on the app just not on the website for some reason

I am also experiencing this bug, only on desktop. It persists even after clearing all browser data.

I was playing puzzles and for some reason the default checkmate sound has been replaced by the "check" sound.

Also, maybe related and useful to the developers: my ear tells me that the "check" sound also feels different from the usual one.

My guess is nobody is hearing the checkmate sound effect on the site they just not noticing it. Only people who play puzzles on the phone and on the the site notice it since the checkmate sound only works on the phone app in puzzles.

Any chance the developers can fix that? It's kind of crucial to learn if the puzzle solve was a checkmate or not.

I was wondering the same. The check sound on the desktop version is a bit confusing in my opinion. Would definitely enjoy a checkmate sound like the app.
