100%
Chess.com have such a lot of power here to really influence people's engagement with Fischer random and create an organic ranking that means something too.
I'd love to know what the hold-up is.
Still not appearing, it is 2025, 9 years since the discussion started. I do not understand why it is not implemented so far, its one of the formats that is becoming very popular and you can really enjoy it and would love to see more people play it. It takes more time to find a match as well because people can not even find it on the menue if you do not try super hard to find it
A mistake I've made on 960 games is if you select the time control and then 960, the time control resets to 3 minutes. So I've tried to play a 15+10 game of 960 (which sometimes results in an empty pool, but 960 positions deserve calculating time), and found myself in a 3 minute game instead. So select 960, *then* select the time.
(my other live 960 pet peeve is the standard abort time is too short: it takes time to find a first move, unlike in conventional chess)
But the "live 960" stats are greyed out on my page. "daily 960" are enabled. But there seems to be no way to access 960 statistics, even via URL editing.
I agree completely. You will have better luck with 30+0, and much better luck with 10+0. But the default does need to change and its absurd there are stats pages for other more obscure variants but not 960 which is the closest to a regular game and arguably more tactical.
