chess app draining my phone Battery

The chess.com  app on my pixel android phone just drains my battery to fast.

1:45 min playtime used 51% of my battery.

and the phone is getting  very warm/hot.

I like the app but this is crazy

What version of the app?

Version 4.5.0

Regular game or vs Computer?

 (1:45 min) = 1hour 45 min

I have not installed other games on my phone.But I can watch Netflix for 4 hours for half the power usage.and phone does not get hot like this.

I am doing daily puzzles and playing the computer.

Engines are very CPU heavy. That could explain it if your playing them for very  long.

There was a lite version of the app some years ago. It would be nice to have a lite version again.
