. . .and does that teacher know anything about chess or Power Point? Power Point is a drawing toool not a filming tool.
One thing is to make a chess digital program and another to show the progress of a game through PP views.
OK. . . as Kco says you can "add" video and sound to the "presentation". . .slide after slide, but not make a chess program similar to those used to play chess with the computer
