I have tried a lot of songs while playing chess. None have really helped. Do you listen to music while on Chess.com? If so, can you tell me what helps you. Thanks.

I'm listening to them all right now. I'll tell you what I think once I'm done.

They all helped me play better. Classical music and Night Moves made me play slow and cautious. Killer Queen helped me play fast, dynamic, and explosive. Then Crocodile Rock helped me play fast and watchful. Thanks for the songs.

Here's another good high energy song -- particularly appropriate if you find yourself in the four knight's game:

don't listen to anything. Maybe that'll help you concentrate

Zugzeit

Classical music helps me alot when playing, although I'm usually too lazy to break out the player lol. But Mozart, especially his symphonies, make me play much much  better.

I've Seen All Good People

Can't believe I didn't think of that one myself.

White Rabbit also has a brief chess reference, although it's once-removed since it's really just an Alice in Wonderland reference.

Dirty Work by Steely Dan has a couple of chess lines:

"Like the castle in its corner
In a medieval game
I foresee terrible trouble
And I stay here just the same"

The Yes bit that speaks of chess is actully from "Your Move," a litte diddy leading up to "I've Seen All Good People:"

Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife.
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is captured
For the queen to use.
Move me on to any black square,
Use me any time you want,
Just remember that the goal
'Sfor us to capture all we want, anywhere,
Yea, yea, yea.
Don't surround yourself with yourself,
Move on back two squares,
Send an Instant Karma to me,
Initial it with loving care
Don't surround
Yourself.
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and
its news is captured
For the queen to use.

I find all of their music very insightful, lofty, and philosophical -- great to play chess to.  I've actually been delving into Mozart's operas lately. Don Giovanni is one of my favorite works to listen to while playing.

Wild Horses - Gino Vannelli

What's the name of that Dylan song where he is playing in a chess playing coffee house in East Orange, New Jersey?

He goes to collect his pay and the boss says, '"We don't pay in money around here."

"Well, what'dya pay."

"We pay in chess men."

"Well, give me my chess men then."

Be damed if he didn't give me a king and a queen.

I went down to the pub and when the bartender brought me a beer, I gave him my queen.

I'll be damned if he didn't take that queen and give me a bishop and two pawns in change!'
