chess.com images and chessboard not loading!

hey guys!

its almost a week that chess.com is not loading correctly for me. some images is loading and some not. when i open a game, the chessboard loads but the pieces not loading, so its not possible to play or see a game.

i have tried chrome and Firefox (latest versions) but its the same on both. i even tried opening it on my smartphone and tablet with my IP and with different IPs but problem exists. the only place its working is in android chess.com app.

i have tried clearing cookies, cachees, disabling Antivirus, disabling all extensions on both browsers but its not working.

please help me to be able to play and enjoy chess.

for the record, it seems that the cause is a smart-filtering system. when im using a proxy or VPN, it works.

So now im uisng Tor Browser (kind of vpn) and it works.

Board is split in half, can’t see left side of board.  Any help?

Normally issues like that can be solved by clearing cache.

Also, if you have any blocking/filtering software, you might disable that to see if that fixes things. The site uses a content delivery network (CDN) so most images are not hosted directly on chess.com. So, if that software is stopping images from loading from the CDN you would need to whiltelist some of the other hosting URLs.

Is your machine older with older browsers? Any security software that might be interfering?

Same for me, worked great before but it slowly got worst...

I tried my Android phone and wasn't able to see the board or the pieces, tried clearing my Google Chrome cache which didn't help either. I'm not using any ad blockers or security software nor am I using a VPN. Any ideas why it wouldn't work?

@Novox1234 I had the same issue in firefox today after a beta stream update. Apparently firefox's enhanced tracking protection doesn't like how chess.com or chess.com/live works so it blocks alot of assets. Once disabled it works fine but I don't know if people really want to disable a feature that's "on our side". I know you're on a different browser but both are developed in connection with each other so it might be a hint. I turn it off ETP and the websites work fine. But I do like the idea of ETP so... maybe chesss.com should redomain their assets under the same top level domain? Just saying.

Surprised to see that the devs didn't fix this problem yet. My board, pieces, and images are not loading/ invisible. 

Can't load the board and pieces. Running in on Chrome. Anyone else has the same problem, What to do, I need my dose of chess, or I go nuts. SOS.

Same problem for me. Is it a coincidence that everyone reporting this problem today are located in Canada? I am on a Macbook. Same problem with Chrome and Safari.

Can't load any image on the website. can't see the game board. Can somebody help?
