Hello,

Does chess.com not work in Safari?  My friend is not able to see the chess board in Safari and I tested it and found the same.  Please help.

we're working on getting safari working. right now it works with IE and firefox, so if you have a mac, try using FF! sorry!

Any idea about when a Safari fix might be available? :0)

not sure... if we had more than 2 people working on the site code, i'd say today. but our JavaScript guy is out of town for another week. it will probably be 10 days before it is fixed. i am VERY VERY sorry! i know that isn't the right way to serve a new member - by telling them their browser doesn't work - but we just don't have the manpower right now :(

here is the link to download FireFox for mac: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

(i know that isn't the right answer, but it's the best i can do for now Cry )

I know from personal experience that getting a site to look correct on every browser is a nightmare.. so just hang in there and it'll be fixed eventually, I am sure..

No problem.  Don't fret about it.  I actually use Firefox, but my friend hasn't really used anything but Safari.  I understand too about making everything look correct in every browser.  Maybe now because there is a thread about it in the forum it is not necessary, but I originally looked in the FAQ's about the Safari compatibility. Just a thought.

My friend is now set up with Firefox and I am off to whoop his a** in chess.  Thanks!

Ok. I have found out that all chessboards work with the new Safari 3.0.3 that just came out! Phew! Thank you Apple!
