Nokia 5800 navigation buttons is a os feature and not in chess.com app.
chess.com mobile application
OK, nice feature on the 5800!
But it would be good to make the mobile app touch-screen capable, and I'd be more than happy to help with that if that's possible.
i have a question
if new cell phones have big screem and a very good way of using a browser with wireless internet if you like. why you guys talk about aplications? its not more simple to enter the normal website, make the board smaller and play like on a normal browser on the computer?

Most phones can handle things like the forums ok, but they can't handle the JavaScript that is used on the pages with the boards, so the boards won't work correctly doing what you described, even with newer phones.
JavaScript problems is something that can be improved on the next gen of mobilepones right?!
if we have flashplayer to watch films from youtube we can have that too
PS: after posting i tested on the browser of my mobile phone. no board to play.
where i can get information about the mobile aplication? some pictures and features
Mobile application info can be found here.
im back do this topic just to dont creat another one
i want to know how much trafic (download and upload) MB this java aplication can spend +/- using a lot of times a day for all month
im asking this cuz im my country i can get for 5€ 75Mb of trafic per month but i dont realy know if this is ok for 31 days
It really depends on the amout of games you are playing, but it really isn't very much data. My best guess is that 75Mb should be more than enough.

Hi,
I downloaded the chess.com mobile application and it looks good, but on my phone (touch screen only, HTC Touch Diamond 2) I don't get the controls, making it very difficult to use. On a different touch-screen only phone (Nokia 5800) there is a very good navigation section providing the needed buttons.
As I'm a software developer with a lot of experience in Java I thought I might offer help with fixing the problem, rather than just reporting the problem and sit back waiting for others to do it.
