Chrome home page loads before asking to leave the site

I think this might be a chrome (android) bug.
When playing a blitz game,
Suddenly, without a reason, I'm redirected to my Google home page
And only then, I'm asked about " leaving the site ..." But I'm already in the home page and there is no way to go back answering the popup.
When this happened to me, I use to go back to chess.com and create a new blitz game and the game I was playing was reloaded, although lost some time in the process.
Today, when going back, game did not resumed.
Note: servers just restated, maybe not all was ready?
