Clicking on notification opens browser and not app (on android phone)

Greetings -- Just got a new phone. Now whenever I click on a chess.com notification it opens chess.com in a browser window and not in my app (where I'd like it to). Is there any way to remedy this crisis situation?

You will get both browser notification and mobile app notification separately.

Instead of clicking browser notification ,click the app notification and you can turn off browser notification in chess.com browser settings

If you didnt get app notification, notification would have been off in app settings or mobile settings.

Some features are not available in the app and only some links will directly open in the app.
