Clicks when moving

How do we solve the problem of no sound when your opponent moves? It's really effing annoying when you are playing a blitz or bullet game and all of a sudden you run out of time., I've asked about this before and no answer.

How do we fix this or will you ignore it like usual? Just tell us it can't be fix. God Damn It. Just tell us.

In your settings under Board & Pieces, do you have your sound off? (If you go all the way down in the Board & Pieces) If you do, that might be why you are not hearing your opponent moving. (I hope this helps!)

PS. I'm sorry that no one replied to you about this when you first posted about it. I know how hard it is to get people to see your forums.

I wasn't clear on what was happening. The sound is on and works most of the time. So you are playing a game and hear the clicks when you or your opponent moves. Maybe once per game you don't hear a 'click' when your opponent moves thus thinking he hasn't move yet when in fact he has and your time is clicking away. This is the problem. Any solution?

Have you ever noticed that whenever it happens, your internet connection is weak or unstable in the game? Sometimes, if your connection is weak, the game may glitch.

It doesn't matter if I have an excellent connection. It's random. And it happened again 2 minutes ago with me losing a game on time, of course. Why do I never have this problem with LiChess???? Do your clicks come from your servers? That's semi-retarded if it does. The click should be localized. What a frustrating chess site.

Other sites handle lag and/or disconnects differently. Here, there is a maximum amount of lag allowed, over a series of moves, and time to reconnect is dependant on the time control.

Well, if other sites are handling an issue like this successfully, why doesn't Chess.com do it also?

It uses a different method.

It's a decision on how to handle the problem, while also being cognizant that there are two players in a game. Allowing all lag and longer disconnects impacts your opponent that very likely is not experiencing problems. In that system, it looks like the player experiencing issues is getting a lot more time on their end and also makes the games last longer than expected, sometimes significantly.

It's highly unlikely that will change in a significant way.

So i know from my own experience that the haptic feedback on the phone is not working properly for few weeks already. But only when the king is being attacked or the opponent castles.

So yeah i also get confused often why my opponent is not moving, when he in fact is.

When i have the sound on, then it works normally. I reported this over chessica and a staff members told me that they are looking into it. For around three weeks now already..

Maybe you could check when exactly the sound doesnt work? So at which moves?
