Clock timer to play fast?

Hi,

I'd like to play speed chess. How can I set the timer to be faster than 1 day!!! That is waaaay too long.

The idea of this site is maybe not motively design for blitz speedgame. Maybe this site was made for us to learn and to share something, morethan empty playing. 

Fair enough. I like the atmosphere here and enjoy the games. Its a great webiste. Just sometimes one game can take 4 hours! I was wondering if there could be a way to speed it up. That's all.

So I guess we've heard it all now. Playing chess on the clock is "empty playing".

What you are asking for is what we call "live chess" and is currently being built. Should be released in a "short" while. :)  But short is obviously debatable.

I've been playing Internet chess for five or six years now, first with Kasparov Chess, then WCN (both now defunct) and more recently with another leading club.  They've all been good clubs and if I want to play quickly that's where I go -- but I must admit that Chess.com is giving me something I haven't had from the others -- lots of interesting conversation and friendship.  It isn't that the others are unfriendly, I'm sure the problem is my own, but when you go on and play quickly the opportunity to swap ideas is less convenient than here.  And, although the games here can take a while to finish, many of them seem to get finished very quickly.  So this'll do me.  Thanks gang, it's great.
