I have had simular experience, the disconnection occurs my game is a lost and I was about to win. No way to get back to the way it was. So, I quit live chess - no more ! Why does it happen, I do not know, but, I know it happens at the worst possible time. Someone may have a connection to the Internet or computer and is able to disrupt the game. It has happened more than once ! Too obvious for me, so, I am not able to continue playing live chess anymore. Someone (?) does not like to lose or someone does not want us (victims of such disturbances) to win.

Yeah,I hv also experienced that many times during my Normal Games too.
Act,it's equally bad/or worse when it happens when we r Loosing rather than Winning,( like what juz happened to me in a Tourney juz now ; it happened suddenly,the moment my pieces got into a bad situation ),coz then people( especially our Opponent ) will think that we might hv purposely/intentionally disconnected !
( Sometimes,it even happens the moment after I loose a Queen ! .. LOL )
When we r Winning,we juz loose the Game/Points
.. but then this 'Connection Interruption' is Nobody's Fault ( or our Server's Fault,I guess )... it juz happens !
{ Act,here I'm referring to Llive Chess Tourney Games here but forgot to include the word 'Tourney' in this Forum Title .. n' I don't seem to be able to edit it either}
Also,I hv suggested somewhere before,that if it's possible, will be real good if we can hv all such games automatcally aborted when this ( Connection Interruption ) happens n' Nobody Wins or Looses unecessarily !

.. but that means I might hv to hv like 10 Computers or so,( d More d Better ! ) all on at d same time ( on 'Stand-By' ) ,when I'm playing live !!! ... hahaha
I currently use 1 Computer Only for playinng Chess ... I might need to try this .
Ok,I'll send u lots of Yummy Chocolate if it works .. ( but need to buy more Computers first

(Disruption) Live Tourney also !! The Server/CPU is developing consciousness, or, I am too close to the disconnection (losing my games each time this occurs)...HaHa...

I don't think we can unless we sucessfully reconnect within 2 minutes and that's if we hv enuf time left to finish d game .. ( the game we r playing muz hv a longer Time Control )
.. that's why I normally play Games with longer Time-Controls mostly .
Too Bad for us, I guess.
Sometimes I can reconnect sucessfully ; sometimes not .
connection interruption hv cost me at least 100 points. in live chess...

**** On move (30) b6, the disruption occurred. I felt that I could have won this game, so, naturally I am upset by these occurrances.****/ **I did not leave the game, nor, was my computer turned off. I have no ideal what really happened to this live game.**
I am from Melbourne, Australia. Recently, my connection is interrupting and reconnecting every minute. It is really annoying to play live chess, is there a solution for this. I used Yahoo Chess and had no problems. Chess.com is really a great site, but this issue will really affect its popularity.
I've been having sooo many of them recently,too,almost everyday .
Juz Now,I won my first 2 games in a Live Tourney,n' was playing my 3rd game when it occured again .. lost my 3rd game ( says I 'abandoned' the game ),then when my 4th game appeared ,Connection Interrupted again n' I lost the game n' points ,with Zero Moves,then cannot rejoin the Tourney after reconnecting .
Yesterday,it happened in the midst of an Interesting Game .. was checking his King .
Guess it juz happens .

My ratings in live chess was 1498 but i disconnected in three continous games that was i winning and my ratings dropped to 1201.....my connection was good and i was using firefox.........What's the issue?

mine say is B excellant and to San Franciso US C good. So that why I don't have much of a problem and I am using IE7 !
May I know if there's any way we can rejoin a Tourney after our Connection gets Interrupted ( Server Problem ) during any1 of our Tourney Games and are we considered to hv Withdrawn from that Tourney after that ?
Also how can we view that Tourney's Final Results ?
Many Times,I still see the Tourney Tab for that Tourney after I get successfully reconnected and I wait for some time to see if my next Round Game will appear .. but it never does .
