Yesterday I was able to play then around midnight I tried playing again, matchmaking error, looked up if there where any known solutions, couldn't find any went to the app on my phone was able to play, Still am just tried, but I hope they fix this because I like playing on my computer more.

I'm not aware of any systemic issues currently. There was a problem around 10 hours ago, lasting for around an hour max, that was resolved.
Having same issue. Works fine on mobile phone though. I believe I've exhausted all suggested solution attempts with no resolution. Since I see many others having same issue I'll safely assume it lays on the latest Bangalore update they've implemented 8-)
still having an issue. the issue hasn't been resolved yet. for some reason, this problem only exists on the browser chess.com
Matchmaking has not been working for me for two days now, incredibly annoying. Resetting everything on multiple devices and different browsers has not worked. Please fix!
I can play on my phone, on IOS app but not on my browser, using chrome and mac OS i keep getting matchmaking failed
My membership is only Gold so it's a pittance but I will eventually cancel it if they can't/won't fix this and only wish to be a phone app. I play on a laptop, and like others, updated my browser (using Google w/ Windows as OS), cleared my history, cache, etc., and even tried logging in from Explorer, all to no avail.
Maybe the secret is to have a free account because that's what I have and it's been working fine for me all day.

This was a big help maybe for the engineers to resolve. Yes this works for me if I log in as a guest but once I sign in a "PAID" member I cannot play a game due to this matchmaking error.
I'm using Brave and having the same issue, cleared all browser cache and cookies logged out and back in multiple times, still having the same issue
