How do you contact support anymore? I'm not talking to the dumb AI, and when you click help & support in the cog, it doesnt even do anything. Have they just eliminated human support?

It depends. For example, Firefox 115 ESR is up to date for users on Windows 7 or 8.1 nowadays but chess.com does not support it...

What else I can suggest...

Some browsers use DNS-over-HTTPS feature, I noticed that it took long time (a minute or even more) for the superb support bot to show with this feature on, try to press Help & Support button and wait several minutes, perhaps the pop-up window with the bot will appear. Or check privacy settings of your browser, turn DNS-over-HTTPS off if it exists and try to open the bot again
