Cross platform play

I didn't know where to put this in off topic or help but I have been playing chess with my cousin for a little while were both fairly new but I have a laptop and he has a Ipad. 

Obviously i would like to know if there would be a way we would able to play together on this site through cross platform of some kind as I know ipads are awful at dealing with java, adobe an such that runs on these sort of sites.

I dont have an ipad, what I meant was is there a way for us play on different devices because neither of us have the money to go out and buy the same device as the other, thanks for taking the time to help though.

The site is web based and platform doesn't matter much. It doesn't use Flash or Java for any client-side game play portions.

The site works better on certain browsers, such as Chrome and Firefox but should be pretty cross-platform and work in most modern browsers. The app is another option, iOS or Android, and it doesn't matter if one player is on mobile and one on PC, the games still work.
