Custom puzzles broken

So I've been trying to get better at tactics like forks, skewers, and pins, but when I use the custom puzzle feature it gives me mate in 1 every single time. I've tried changing the rating, but even then it just gives me random combinations or mate in 2+ instead. I don't have anything selected except for pins, forks, and skewers. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The themes that exist were crowd sourced and they may or may not be pertinent to the puzzles. There are plans to automatically re-theme puzzles in the future to fix that problem.

Same here. Puzzles repeat a lot or have nothing to do with the theme. The feature seems completely broken

The system shows you resigned. Did you leave the game/app?

I am having this problem as well. When I request a particular type of puzzle (say, forks), only a small percentage of the puzzles that come up involve forks. This feature used to work fine for me (like, a year ago), but ever since late last year, it hasn't seemed to work properly.

I built https://chessbuddy.app to solve exactly this: a highly customizable tactics training. You can combine puzzle themes as you like as well as other constraints, like number of moves, etc. You get an individual rating per theme (plus a global one) and it has many more features like a spaced repetition system so that you get previous puzzles again at the right time. No signup needed, so if this sound interesting, give it a try.
