Daily game timers are weird

I have been playing a Daily game with someone for at least 2 weeks (the time control is 7 days) and both of our clocks... still show 7 days. I did the math and counted how long some of my opponent's moves took and (counting the ones above about 3 hours because I was too lazy to count all moves) it looks like they've spent at least 12.73 days on their turn? What's with the timers?

Daily time controls are days per move. So, you have 7 days to make a move and after you do, your opponent has 7 days to make theirs. The clocks go back to 7 days after each move is completed.

Ohhhhhh. I thought it was 7 days total like with other time controls (10 minute, 30 minute, etc)
