Disable Click and Drag to move?

that's the dream... someone made a browser extension that let you actually enter your moves using algebraic notation, but it kinda shifted the window vertically so i stopped using it

My son (who's the actual player in this account) accidentally drops a piece once every five games approximately.

We need to be able to disable drag. Please!!!!

I play on my laptop and sometimes it feels natural to drag however due to the smallish trackpad it almost always drops the piece before I can finish the drag. I try to click and move as much as possible but sometimes I forget. I have made so many foolish blunders because of this.

There's a bug that causes the board to think I'm dragging a piece when I just clicked it, which leads to the piece being dropped on the adjacent square. The bug seems to be more likely when the computer is slow. It would be great if you implemented "click-only" for slow computers.

I like drag and drop but it happens a lot that I accidentally drop it early. I wish Live chess had the option of 'confirming' moves, like Daily chess has.

Yeah that is my problem too. 99% of my misclicks are because the mouse stops registering the click mid-drag. Especially egregious on a trackpad.
Please make a drag disable option and just click to move
