Disconnecting from the match

Is there a way to disconnect your opponent ? I have experienced this 2 to 3 times. I lost connection in a winning match even though my internet was working properly
There is no direct communication between your computer and your opponent's so highly unlikely since everything has to go through the server. That said, chess.com is a bit of a memory hog so it's easy to have the occasional disconnect especially with wifi. Might be something here for you...
