Happens frequently to everyone. The only consolation is that sometimes it will happen to your opponent too, so you'll pick up a win that you didn't deserve.
Disconnections seem to happen frequently to some members and not at all to other members. This makes me wonder, what can I (we) do to improve my (our) experience?
Tell us what we must do!!!!!
Use firefox or chrome instead of ie, you'll get far less disconnects.

Disconnections ALWAYS irritate me... chess.com should count it as a draw and not a loss if these things r goin to happen very often!
Don't use Chrome. Chrome phones home every 24 hours. Google already has too much power.

Disconnections should count as no result. If they keep going the way they are for me (i.e disconnection every game) im going elsewhere to play. I have 8mb bb there is no excuse, I remember playing chess online years ago with just a dial up modem and never got anywhere near the amount of disconnections I get now.
I often get disconnected during a game for no apparent reason, and it always counts as a loss for me regardless of position / time.
Any solutions or is it a common problem resulting from Beta software?
