do usernames apply to the “no politics” rule?

To be fair, justbefair, he's not making any kind of accusations. He's looking for clarification on the sites policy about politics and political discussion, specifically, whether or not it applies to account usernames as well.
We all know that if someone were to start a topic titled "Free Palestine" it would get shut down and locked before you could say en passant. The same goes with individual comments in other threads, edited or completely removed all together within hours or even minutes after posting.
Torch is asking a legitimate question, one that deserves clarification.
If topics and individual posts declaring "Free Palestine" are restricted, then shouldn't that also apply to usernames like the one he suggested in the op?
If the username @TheFreePalestineGuy is not restricted by this same policy, why not? What is the distinction between the two.

Usernames would need to follow the Community Policy. Here’s a support article about usernames: https://support.chess.com/en/articles/8609530-what-kind-of-username-can-i-choose
If you suspect violations of this, you should use the report feature on the user’s profile.
FYI, we often see usernames that include country names. I do not think the username is hateful, discriminatory, derogatory, threatening violence, etc. I have not removed comments containing “free Palestine” unless the comment is repeatedly shared.

Oddly enough, political discussion was limited to private groups that can limit membership and patrol their own rules. But then, to make it more confusing, one member of the staff here disabled a group that was intended to be a kind of group therapy session for people who couldn't stand one particular political pest https://www.chess.com/club/notes/numpty-trumpty and no response came from management. So the rules here are not clear at all.
It’s okay for someone to be named @removed but not make a thread about it. I’m a little confused by that logic, but if the rules are coexisting yet not dependent on one another, it’s ok. I was just curious.
