Email preferences

I currently have the following notification preferences checked to send Email:

- It's my move in a Daily Chess game
- I get a new challenge, or a game ends, or I am low on time
- I get a new Message
- I get a new Friend Request
- I get an Award
- Someone posts on my feed

Yet, I have started getting Emails like this...

"The Olympic Esports Series Chess Qualifiers Begin Tomorrow!"

Now, there's an unsubscribe link in the Email, but there's no notification setting that allows me to forego these event Emails...so I guess I have no choice but to unsubscribe from all Email as the fine print mentions I can do?  It's all or nothing, seemingly.

I don't appreciate being blackmailed into receiving ads for content in order to get basic notifications...so I am hoping there's some hidden webpage where I can opt out...
