email related to club / vote chess notifications can't be disabled (?)

I get tons of email for each comment in a vote chess game or club events.

I found two help pages on that topic:

https://support.chess.com/article/600-im-getting-too-much-email-how-can-i-change-my-notifications

https://support.chess.com/article/855-how-do-i-turn-on-off-emails-and-notifications

But unfortunately, this doesn't help because the "too much email" comes from *comments* in vote chess and announcements in clubs, for which it would be okay to be notified, but via web & mobile only, not via email.
On the (main) "Settings" page, I can choose independently whether I want web / mobile / email notifications for different kind of events, but these don't include the *comments* in vote chess games (only "it's my turn", and there's only the "web" notification choice) nor anything related to clubs: the general Settings page reminds that this could be set on the Settings page of the respective club.

That's however not true: on those (club) Settings pages, I can only choose whether I want, or do not want at all the notification concerning different kinds of events. I cannot choose, e.g., that I'd like to have web + mobile notifications for forum posts etc., but NOT email notifications. Same for comments in vote chess: I cannot choose to receive notifications only via web & mobile, but not via email.
Is this true?  If not, please explain how to disable email while retaining web/mobile notification for vote chess comments & club announcements.

If yes,  then thank you for confirming, and maybe adding explanations to the above mentioned help pages (and the Settings pages) ; if possible (although I know this is not the place for feature requests) improve the Club settings page (and maybe even the "follow content" checkbox)  to make it similar to the main Settings page where you have individual checkboxes for web/mobile/email.

I had the same situation: too many emails from Chess.com! Then I decided to disable all email categories in the main Settings page, under Notification - except the last two. Here is the screenshot of my Notification settings:

I am not sure if this radical solution would solve your problem, but it worked for me!

This didn't work for me, despite having all email notifications turned off on the general page. I am now resorting to turning off all notifications from clubs, but that is an unfortunate way to deal with this (I agree with the OP: happy for mobile/web notifications but not email).
