When someone is about to win then the player who is playing against gets themself disconnected and results is that we earn less points.

I am fairly certain you win the same number of rating points regardless of how you win.

Points for winning are the same regardless of how its gained.

Yes, but if the game is of 15 min and you are about to win in 5 min then the another player disconnets and you'll have to wait for another 10 min to win the game. That's pathetic.
