Fair Play Agreement and My Husband's Account Deleted

I only use this website to play against my husband these days. All of my recent games are with him. However, after last night's game, his account was deleted and my account had a message saying that one of my recent opponents had violated the Fair Play Agreement. Obviously that recent opponent was my husband.

I am confused about what exactly he could have done wrong. We play on our computers in the same room. Does it have to do with the IP?

Either way, I would like his account reinstated, as without him on here, I have no reason to use this site. Also, I can assure you that there was no cheating involved. I don't even understand how cheating is possible on this website.

As I am the one who paid for his membership, I am quite annoyed with the waste of money. He uses this website as a resource for teaching chess to schoolchildren, which is why I paid for his membership.

Thanks for your help.

Chess.com prevents the ability of people to have 2 accounts unless they are family members. Which with the same IP, looks like you have 2.

Send a email with your problem through here, and include a picture of the two of you:

https://support.chess.com/customer/portal/emails/new
They will then usually reinstate your account.

Thank you, Lorgish!

The other thing to note is that you played rated games with him. To chess.com, that looks like cheating by rating manipulation. That's likely why it was closed.

If you are playing in the same room have you considered purchasing a board and playing the old fashioned way?

What are the room dimensions, out of curiosity?

Good luck getting your accounts back! Hopefully they give the membership back too.
