Fair Play Policy

Your account may be restricted if you do not follow our Fair Play Policy. If restricted, you will only be able to play with friends. Please do not intentionally abort/disconnect from games or make your opponents wait unnecessarily. Thank you for keeping Chess.com a fun place to enjoy chess!

I got the above message a few times by playing live. Any ideas why I’m getting the above communication? I play nice and make my moves on time. Am I doing something wrong?

It could be for aborting games, if you do that.

How is chess.com going to restrict me to waiting 5 min b/w each game. And when I try to play with a person they abort or abandon the game. But you restrict me. BS

Same thing keeps happening to me! If I win the game I still have to wait 5 minutes

hi , even I get these warning messages daily.  out of 8 to 10  matches which i play daily, 2 - 3 game gets aborted due to internet disconnection which is totally not under my control.  I am worried about these warnings.

I Love chess and respect the game. I totally understand the reason for fair usage policy . But it wud be great if they make some changes. 

If a player remains idle or disconnects during a match, 2 minutes time should be given for that player to respond. If the player does not respond, opponent shud be the winner. 

Moderaters/ admins. hope you do some changes to it soon to prevent some of the genuine users of chess.com from getting locked down for no mistake of theirs. 

avanish1985.,i agree totally. I joined only about a week ago and think it's a great site. I have played chess for 40yrs and love the game. One hour ago i had the fair play msg appear on the screen.??? No idea why,as seems alot of other genuine members and personally i felt insulted.!!! Internet connections will be a main part of the problem,but i am hardwired myself and havn't a clue why the msg came up. Anyone who plays the game of chess is normally very much aware of fair play and cheating is never an option. Hope i or all you decent people never see the fairplay msg again.,yours trully Lawrence..!!!

Because it's stalemate, it tells you right there on the screen you pasted.

This is a question - My game screen on IPAD has locked up trying to to reconnect or to load game after game was terminated for end of time. There must be a way to close out the current locked up game without deleting and then reloading the chess.com APP, but I have not found it. Thanks.

I never abort my game but resign.it is possible slow internet connection but there is no my hands.As a result I fall to your fair play policy.kindly pardon me to play regularly.
