Lately i see this a lot.
Start a game. Nothing happens. Game times out and after that i see the oponent did make a move and it was me who timed out. When i start a new game all goes ok but the first game i start in a session always times out. Playing on chess.com site on chrome browser on android

I am having same issue as MartyMcFly. Chrome, desktop cleared everything - problem still here. And now it is causing me to basically forfiet games. lost 2 matches thus far today due to being locked out after opponent makes their first move.
I find this very frustrating. I reported the issue and will see what happens. I don't mind losing matches because of skill errors and blunders, and deliberately "gaming" the system, but to lose because the website is clodgy - not happy about that and will spend my time playing chess elsewhere.
