how do i become that cool "welcome" guy that plays first unrated game with new members?

Hi,

http://www.chess.com/home/echess_settings.html

Then tick the option "I am willing to play unrated welcome games against new Chess.com members. I will help them understand how to play on Chess.com and answer questions." (near the bottom of the screen) and click "Save Prefenences".

In my experience, what you get is a bunch of unrated time-out victories, but someone's gotta do it, right?  Right.
