game aborted 3 moves before mate

Quite annoyingly, my opponent aborted the game only three moves before mate. I don’t know how this is possible. Is there a way to get the points I deserve or for this bug at least to be patched or prevented?

There was a scheduled live server restart. When that happens, all ongoing game are aborted.
