How can I access or download games played by me/others?

Games played by you can be downloaded by checking beside any games that are completed. The completed games section is right below the current games section. Once you have selected games then click on the download pgn files at the bottom of the completed games section. Since you are a free member, then you can only download games with opponnents you have played

But I read somewhere chess.com has a searchable database that includes international OTB games

That would be the game explorer. However you have limited access. That is in the Learn menu at the top of hte screen.

Its only for premium members
