Games with fewer than seven plies (three and a half moves) do not affect ratings. I'm not sure whether they are counted in the win/loss stats. They may be thrown away entirely (especially if they time out) - leaving no record.

Plies means????????????
a plie is when one piece moves on the board

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ply_(game_theory) - for the distinction between MOVEs and PLIEs. In chess, after BOTH players have moved a piece, that is counted as ONE MOVE.
Thanks for replies, however the most recent game of this occurrence was right before I posted and I would say about 30 moves were played. No big deal, I was just wondering.
Hi, I've experienced games that my opponent resigns in and noticed that the game isn't counted anywhere. Not in games played or won etc. is this normal? Cheers
