Help for Chess.com Noob, Plz

Hello, all!  I am brand new to chess.com and am having a little trouble finding my way around.  I am happy to use what resources I can find to help myself answer some of my own questions.  But, I am having trouble finding said resources.  If you could point me to posts, articles, etc. that are geared towards newcomers to chess.com, I would greatly appreciate it.  To give you an idea of what I am looking for, I will list some of my questions below.  Answers will be appreciated and tips on where I can find like answers for myself will be even more appreciated.  Thanks!

The Tactics puzzles confuse me; is the goal to make the best moves, to find the unique line that most quickly leads to mate or something else?

How do Tactics puzzle solving effect my rating and/or with whom I am matched?

About how many games should I expect to play before I get an accurate view of what my rating is?

Any tips for how to get the most out of this site?

Is it acceptable to play just one or two moves a day in the Daily category?  So far, most Daily games seem like live games with almost unlimited time;  most opponents seem to move very quickly; if I wanted to really take my time with some or all of these games, would it put most opponents off?

Where do I find the best general advice on improving my game?

Where is all of the "read this first" type material?

Thanks!

1. Use a real board and pieces when studying.

2. Play time controls of at least G30, and preferably G45.

3. Play Daily Chess.  And use your time.  DO NOT blast out 12 moves a day, when you have 3 days per move.
