High CPU on Mac

chess.com started consuming crazy high CPU, screenshot at 175% but sometimes goes even higher.

Started happening after upgrade of MacOS to Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348).  Using Safari Version 18.0.1 (20619.1.26.31.7)

Pattern seems to be as follows:
- connect and start playing 3 min blitz.

- Everything is normal for about 30 min

- Eventually notice the fan going crazy.  Look at Activity Monitor output and it shows chess.com consuming crazy high CPU

- Kill the process and start again.  works fine for another while.
Anyone else seeing this and what did you do to resolve it?

Same issue for me.

Tried on different browsers (Safari, Firefox, Orion).

2 months later this is still an issue. It interferes with my games since my CPU goes crazy during a 3 min blitz and I have to kill the process. Why haven't you resolved it by now?

yes thx. Altering posting this back in October, the support staff did reach out. Collected data, and then went silent.
