I like to use the 'Neo' pieces with Icy Sea board myself. My background is a custom retro video game one. It's nice and dull so it doesn't distract me from playing or puzzle solving.

I think @TheMidnightExpress12 is right, my answer was entirely by memory. (i checked hikaru's page and it was that dark-blue-purple tone @TheMidnightExpress12 sent)
