How Did this happen?

I just received this in my inbox...

It says "reports of verbal harassment from several of your recent opponents". However, I don't usually chat unless it's an unrated game. The only example I could think of happened today- a boring Caro Kann like position occurred, whereupon I offered a draw and sent a smiley face in the chat.

Nothing happened after that, and I dont think this is enough to get me warned.

If I get reports of verbal harassment from the forums, does support usually say to be nice or something in the forums?

Because it's hard to fix the problem if I don't even know what's causing it.

Wow

I actually got a report a few weeks earlier similar to this (or maybe the same) but I ignored it since I hadn't chatted in any games.

You might just open a ticket and ask about it. I think some of that just comes from people flagging you for abuse. I have no idea what the process looks like on the back-end looks like, so I could be completely wrong.

I also think it is a more generic form letter and could be from reports from forum postings, notes, etc. Basically anywhere you have interactions and other members decide to report you.

You asked me to.

Steven-ODonoghue

I get tons of these, sometimes multiple per week. Nothing ever happens about it because it is just an automated message after you have been reported by a few people.

Martin Stahl...thanks for the reply. I checked their policy and realized what i did. I aborted 5 or 6 games in a row because i wanted to play as black.
