how long before a game is auto abandoned?

Once again I’ve had to sit through 5 minutes of inactivity from another player in order to ‘win’ the game. Meantime if so much as glance at my text messages whilst waiting the game considers that I have abandoned….. it’s so frustrating. Any ideas?

It depends on the time control and if the player is actually disconnected.
