You would probably need to check on your device, but delivered advertisement will likely impact the amount of data used as well. I don't use the app very often, so I've only used 44.11 MB since February 11 
I know, I know, there are no exact answers here; How many pictures are on a page, their resolution, etc etc.
But, I could use some point of reference, the average if you will?
Also, does chess.com use some kinds of live feeds that spends data when the pages appear idle?
Are the chat boxes like instant messaging; no data is spent unless someone enters the information; or is there continuous communication between my system and the server?
