How to cancel Rematch?

Hi, can you please tell me how to cancel I Rematch request.  If there is no reply from the opponent then if I want to play another game I have to press New Game.  But then I get a warning saying I am aborting too many games.

I don't think it's right that I can't start a new game if I get no reply from Rematch request.

I believe you can do that from the console, though, I'm not positive. I think it will show the outstanding request there.

Oh, I just thought that the notification of the rematch request may show there where you could cancel it. It may not; I don't play on Live a ton 

No I can't see anything.  In the concole I can decline challenges received and also accept them.  I  think it should be fair to cancel an offer if there is no reply after a few minutes.
