If the opponent have only king left and i have a single knight with the king. Then is it possible to checkmate?

zero probability.    same with a lone bishop.     Single Rook w/King can mate.   also 2 bishops as well as the combination of 1 Bishop and 1 knight can force mate.

No. Simply put the pieces on a board and look at it

You're blind then. Anyways, that would go without saying. As you could literally checkmate with any piece as long as opponent have other pieces on the board.

Buddy, there is no reason for you to be rude about it

not if you have a king and knight and your opponent only has a king.

That's not checkmate. The king has no more moves, but he's safe where he is. That becomes a draw.
