Resolved: How to insert a game?

Does anyone know how to insert a game? I've tried and it doesn't work.

Richard

Go to : http://www.chess.com/home/my_archive.html

Find the game you want and click "View"

Then on the right hand side of the page by the chat/details etc, click "Get PGN"

This will download the file.

You then need to open this file using a text editor such as notepad, so right click the file and select "open with.." then select notepad (if your using a Windows OS)

copy all the text in the file, then go back to chess.com and open your blog and  "insert Game" (the little chess board diagram beside the text tools in the blog writing section) in your ie Blog:

Select Game or sequence of moves, click continue

Select Use a PGN file

paste the code in the prompted box, click continue, enter your desired settings

then Select "Insert Game"

Thats it your all set :D,

The main thing to remember is that you need to open that file with a text editor and copy the text.

Hope this helps

What's a PGN file? What is it for?

Richard

PGN (Portable Game Notation) is an easy-to-read format which records both the moves of the game (in standard algebraic notation) and any related data such as the names of the players, the winner/loser, and even the date the game was played.

Heres more info on a PGN file: http://support.chess.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/162/4/what-is-pgn--fen
