Most sites allow you to play against yourself, but I don't think I've ever come across a site that will enable you to play an illegal move. Maybe there is some way to do it as well, who knows...

The best way to do this would be on a physical chessboard.

A physical chessboard? What’s that?

I think it's a theme only available to those with diamond memberships.

Sorry.

So like I’m trying to play chess with a ai but it keeps making illegal moves which I can’t do so I’m wondering if there’s a website where I can do illegal moves and play by myself no

you can make illegal moves on the analysis board by clicking on set up position. Then you can make all the illegal moves and even add more pieces in.

A physical chess board is a chess board you have irl and since it isn't a website and technically yours you can make illegal moves. If you know more advanced stuff about chess notation you could put the whole gameplay in the pgn (IDK how to do that though) or get a chessboard that senses what moves you do so you could make it a pgn with illegal moves. The analysis board set up position has only one downside: you can't make it in the notation to put it on the pgn it only sets up the position you play off of not just adding it to notation.

A physical chessboard is literally a IRL chess game bruh

On Chess.com, you cannot make illegal moves during a game against an AI, as the system prevents any move that violates the rules of chess. However, the "Setup Position" feature within the analysis board allows you to create an illegal starting position, which you can then use to play against a bot. This is likely the method used by streamers like Levy Rozman to create strange scenarios
